Skilled Metal Workers in the field of assembly technology mainly work in companies in the metal and electrical industry.

Their tasks include:

putting components together to form assemblies as well as mounting assemblies into machines or assembling complete products;
manufacturing components and assemblies using various joining techniques;
testing and creating functions on assemblies or complete products;
monitoring and optimizing assembly and disassembly processes;
manual and mechanical manufacturing of components;
disassembling of assemblies;
installing cables, electrical and electronic assemblies;
applying circuit and function diagrams of different systems;
carrying out quality assurance measures.

Skilled Metal Workers in the field of machining technology work predominantly in companies in the metalworking industry.

Their tasks include:

the manufacturing of workpieces from different materials with machining production processes; p
rocurement and checking of order-related documents;
selection of machine tools, tools, auxiliary and operating equipment;
determination and setting of production parameters;
creation and optimization of CNC programs with standard path commands;
preparation, assembly and alignment of workpiece and tool clamping equipment;
alignment and clamping of workpieces;
execution and evaluation of test runs;
checking and optimization of production steps;
determination, elimination and documentation of errors in production processes;
elimination of machine-related malfunctions;
documentation of results; optimization of order-related documents;
execution of quality assurance measures.
